Zoë Phenix McCandless is Head of Partner Impact at United Repair Centre, where she builds the brand partnerships that keep clothes in circulation - working alongside some of Europe's most forward-thinking outdoor and fashion brands to grow the repair movement.

Social impact company United Repair Centre (URC) opened the doors of its first location in Amsterdam in 2022, followed by London in 2023 and Paris in spring 2026.

Today it employs over 50 repair technicians across these three hubs - most of whom have been refugees, and tailors in their previous countries. Together they help apparel companies across outdoor, sports and premium fashion to prolong the life of their products.

In 2025 the URC team repaired over 54,000 items, for more than 35 brands including Patagonia, The North Face, Arc’teryx, Rapha, Lululemon, Levi’s and Decathlon and repairs are set to increase in 2026 as operations continue to scale up.
