Charlie Dark runs at night. A British DJ, poet, author, and community leader, Dark is the Founder of "Run Dem Crew," a running collective that blends music, art, and movement. The collective's motto is "good vibes only" and is best known for emphasizing the mental wellbeing and personal growth that come through running in community. Through RDC, Dark has inspired thousands of people from diverse backgrounds to see running as an accessible and empowering practice. His book, Natural Born Heroes, explores how movement, mindfulness, and self-compassion can help people reconnect with themselves and others. Dark's community building continues in his work as a broadcaster and advocate for equity in sport, where he uses his voice and platform to encourage inclusion, joy, and collective action.

Dark first found running on Christmas morning in 2006. It was a low stakes attempt to re-claim his identity and mental health. Little did he know how impactful that first (humbling) run would be. Today, Dark impacts the lives of many, through Run Dem Crew (and its youth mentorship programs), his music, and his words.
